In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxBinnenhof, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxBinnenhof events, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
From social innovators to educators, to professionals, scientists, engineers or doctors, TEDx speakers usually have one thing in common; passion in their field of expertise, a passion that transcends and inspires. In the context of the Dutch presidency of the EU TEDxBinnenhof 2016 is themed ‘Ideas from Europe‘. We auditioned innovators from 25 European member states and selected the 10 very best ‘Ideas from Europe’ to grace the famous red circle carpet and inspire us. Find out more about our amazing line-up here.
TEDxBinnenhof is a not-for-profit public-private partnership. Our events would not be possible without the support of our amazing volunteers, performers, partners, speakers and of course, the attendees. TEDxBinnenhof is invite-only, but people around the world will watch along at our Embassies’ viewing events! During these events the Dutch Embassies will not only watch one or two Talks via the livestream, they will also invite speakers of their own. Is there no viewing event near you? Not to worry, you can watch the livestream from the comfort of your own home here.
