Chemical Industry

Chemistry is the origin for many products we use on a daily basis: textiles, packaging, construction and personal care. It’s here where raw materials change shape into something more valuable. Think medicine, paint or food products. Some of these items are increasingly smart, like self-healing materials, but also increasingly sustainable, like biomass and bio plastics.

The ambition of the sector Chemical Industry is to become world leader in ‘green chemicals’ and ‘smart materials’. Building on the strengths of Dutch industry and scientific research institutes, the joint research and innovation agenda focuses on three domains: Smart Polymeric Materials, Process Technology and Biobased Economy.

Standing on the Catwalk on the 25th June for the Chemical Industry is Charlotte van Erp Taalman Kip.
