Patricia Ottevanger, Head international viewing events

“The reason I joined TEDxBinnenhof is that I feel the passion that is shared within the TEDx community. TEdxBinnenhof and the talks are all about ‘doing it’, and not endless talking about it. People with great ideas to help the world, going out there and realise their ideas. I am the same in that way.”

“Because the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs is a partner of TEDxBinnenhof, Dutch missions worldwide have the opportunity to organize events and programs around TEDxBinnenhof. The event in The Hague will be live streamed, so that it can be shared all over the world. Also during this edition dozens of Dutch missions, sometimes in cooperation with Dutch private partners, will simultaneously with TEDxBinnenhof organize events and meetings at local level.”

“As head international viewing events I encourage Dutch missions to embrace this event and use it as an opportunity for Holland promotion. Because this year’s theme of TEDxBinnenhof is about ‘sharing great ideas, worth doing’, it can for instance be interesting to promote Dutch entrepreneurship. The missions can of course count on advise and support from our organization. We share ideas and facilitate where possible.”

“Being a team member of the TEDxBinnenhof 2016 organization is interesting and, for me personally, very educational. I hope this years’ TEDxBinnenhof talks will not only be inspiring, but will also set people into action.”

Patricia (22) is a Bachelor student Systems Engineering, Policy Analysis and Management at Technical University Delft.
