Sector Event Chemistry: the added value of knowledge
On 25 June 2012 an afternoon meeting will be held on the interface between Science and Business in the top sector Chemistry: the valorization of knowledge in day-to-day practice. The meeting, related to the TEDxBinnenhof event, will be of particular interest for start-ups, spin-offs, small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) and scientists interested in valorization. A live connection will enable visitors to listen to the speaker representing the top sector Chemistry at TEDxBinnenhof: Charlotte van Erp Taalman Kip.
In Utrecht a variety of speakers will give a presentation, including Bert Jan Lommerts (CEO Latexfalt BV and member of the Topteam Chemistry), Tom van Aken (CEO Avantium), Floris Rutjes (professor Synthetic Organic Chemistry at Radboud University and involved in the Innovation Lab Nijmegen) and several companies that successfully made their start-up. The Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) sees ample opportunities in the top sector agendas for strengthening scientific research and innovation. At the NWO-livestream event top researchers will present their groundbreaking ideas.
