Oswald is a political journalist and became the Director of Cabinet of the Minister of Education in 1989. Oswald played a decisive role in the establishment of the education system in the German-speaking community of Belgium.

From 94 till 96 Oswald’s was head of education for the European Union administration of Mostar. He was Chief Communicator for serval banks in Luxembourg for seven years.

In 2004, he became Chief Communicator and Spokesperson of the European Patent Office where he initiated the ‘European Inventor Award’. This is one of the most famous awards for innovation worldwide. Currently, Oswald is Director of Agents for Maison Modern.
